Seneca County COVID-19 cases holding at 14

Seneca County's confirmed cases of COVID-19 remained at 14, according to the Seneca County General Health District website. Seven men and seven women have been infected, nine people have recovered and one died. Statewide, cases totaled 24,777 Monday as reported by the Ohio Department of Health website — 23,400 confirmed and 1,377 probable. Those numbers are an increase from 24,081 total cases Sunday, 23,697 Saturday, 23,016 Friday, 22,131 Thursday, 21,576 Wednesday, 20,969 Tuesday and 20,474 last Monday. The statewide death total Monday was 1,357 — 1,236 confirmed and 121 probable — which is an increase from 1,341 Sunday, 1,331 Saturday and 1,306 Friday. The number of deaths was reported Monday to be 5%. The latest numbers in Wood County Wednesday were 223 confirmed and probable cases, including 57 hospitalized and 31 deaths. Numbers reported by other neighboring counties were: Crawford, 81 confirmed and probable, 3 hospitalized, 42 recovered, 1 death; Hancock, 39 confirmed and probable, 7 hospitalized; 1 death; Sandusky, 52 confirmed and probable, 17 hospitalized, 8 deaths; 10 recovered; Wyandot, 26 confirmed and probable, no current hospitalizations, 22 recovered, 2 deaths; and Huron, 38 confirmed and probably, 8 hospitalized, 12 recovered, 1 death. Lucas County continues to have the most deaths reported, but remained stead at 164 Monday. Ohio counties with more than 1,000 cases include Franklin, 3,881 (124 deaths); Cuyahoga, 2,861 (147 deaths); Marion, 2,404 (14 deaths); Pickaway, 1,933 (23 deaths); Lucas, 1,806, (165 deaths); Hamilton, 1,823 (101 deaths); Mahoning, 1,144 (123 deaths). ODH Monday reported 4,413 hospitalizations (18% of the total) and 1,217 intensive care admissions (5% of the total), up from 4,351 hospitalizations and 1,205 in ICU Sunday, 4,300 hospitalizations and 1,200 in ICU Saturday and 4,218 hospitalizations and 1,188 in ICU Friday. Of the total, the website reported 16% are healthcare workers. The total number of people tested in Ohio was reported Monday to be 209,153, up from 203,672 Sunday, 183,269 Friday and 175,060 Thursday. The age range of confirmed cases in Ohio is from younger than 1 to age 108 with a median age of 50, and 54% are male and 45% are female. In the United States, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website reported Sunday a total of 1.3 million cases, an increase of 26,600 cases. The nationwide death total was reported Sunday to be 78,771, including 1,737 new deaths since Saturday. Worldwide, the World Health Organization Monday reported the number of confirmed cases in 215 countries was 4 million, up from 3.92 million Sunday and 3.76 million Friday, and the death count was nearly 279,000, up from 274,400 Sunday and 259,600 Friday. The worldwide Coronavirus Dashboard (ncov2019.live/data) Monday reported the total number of cases at more than 4.2 million with 2.43 million active cases. The site reported nearly 286,000 people have died and more than 1.5 million people have recovered.
