Counseling center moves to new location

Counseling Connections, LLC began serving clients in February and is now will be serving clients out of a new location. Counseling Connections is formerly known as Christian Counseling Center, which was housed at First Lutheran Church located at 300 Melmore St. Counseling Connections will now be located at 676 Miami St. Suite C. Currently clients are not being seen in person, but the office is available for video and phone sessions now. Counseling Connections was started by Erin Perry and Shelley Loesser, both licensed professional clinical counselors. "We thought that since we were a new business with a new name, a new location would help give us a fresh start, Perry said. Loesser and Perry served at the Christian Counseling Center and are now partners. The Christian Counseling Center had been in service of those in need of counseling services for the past 26 years. "We believe in the mission of serving our clients who may not be able to access services elsewhere," Perry had said, on why they decided to keep the center going. Services provided are counseling for individuals, couples and families. The Christian Counseling Center had been closed in February due to financial reasons, according to John Kobelt, former center board president.
