Bloomville man, woman hurt in accident

By Jill Gosche Senior Staff Writer jgosche@advertiser-tribune.com BLOOMVILLE – A Bloomville woman sustained serious injuries in an accident on SR 19, north of Bloomville, on Sunday morning, according to State Highway Patrol.A release states Michael Miles, 43, of Bloomville, was driving a 2010 Harley Davidson south on SR 19. A vehicle in front of him slowed to turn left, causing Miles to brake and swerve off the right side of the road, it states.The trike struck a gas meter pipe and a 2008 Nissan Sentra parked in a private driveway.Miles and his passenger, Tyann Miles, 38, of Bloomville, were not wearing helmets and were thrown from it, the release states.Michael and Tyann Miles were taken to Mercy Health — Tiffin Hospital.Tyann Miles had serious injuries and was flown to Mercy Health — St. Vincent Medical Center, according to the release.Personnel from Bloomville EMS, Bloom Township Fire Department, Republic EMS, Scipio-Republic Fire Department, the county's Echo unit, Seneca County Sheriff's Office and D&D Towing assisted at the scene.The accident occurred at 11:55 a.m.
