Sandusky County DJFS offering food box distribution

FREMONT - In collaboration with the Toledo Northwest Ohio Food Bank and the National Guard, the Sandusky County Department of Job and Family Services has announced they will offer pre-packaged food box distribution at the Department office, 2511 Countryside Dr., Fremont, Thursday from 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. All guests are asked to pre-register online, which can be done via the Toledo Northwest Ohio Food Bank website (toledofoodbank.org) under the "Events" and "Food Box Distribution" tabs, according to a release from the Sandusky County DJFS. For those unable to go online, call the food bank at (419) 242-5000 ext. 221 to pre-register. The release states it will be a non-contact distribution, which means guests will drive up, open their trunk and food boxes will be placed inside. ID will be required at time of pick-up, the release states. Traffic flow and the specific pick-up location will be marked at the office to direct guests Thursday, it states.
