ODOT proposes construction project along US 23 in Wyandot County

LIMA — The Ohio Department of Transportation invites the public to view a prerecorded presentation online regarding a proposed project that will involve seven intersections along U.S. 23 in Wyandot County, a release from ODOT states. The project is tentatively scheduled for construction in 2022, according to the release. The recorded presentation and all materials regarding the project will be available for an indefinite period of time beginning July 7 at the following website: www.transportation.ohio.gov/wps/portal/gov/odot/projects/projects/109362. As for the purpose of the project, ODOT hopes to make changes that help to control access to the divided highway, improve safety and reduce crashes, the release states. DGL Consulting Engineers, LLC, serves as ODOT's consultant on the project, it states. The proposed project would remove access to US 23 at the following locations: TR 68, CR 74, TR 72, TR 65 and CR/TR 62, according to the release. The project also would construct restricted crossing u-turns, referred to as an RCUT, at US 23 at CR 113/TR 124 and at SR 294, it states. DeWine's guidelines regarding social distancing and gatherings, the release states. In the release, the public is asked to review the presentation and project materials and provide feedback.
