These needs are often met by speaking to library staff members in person or over the phone, but sometimes our patrons require information on topics they do not feel comfortable openly discussing. For individuals wishing to obtain information on sensitive subjects, Tiffin-Seneca Public Library has a solution. We understand that some things are tough to talk about. With this in mind, we have posted signs throughout the nonfiction collection listing the call numbers for a variety of sensitive subjects such as divorce (306.89), eating disorders (616.8526) and suicide (362.28). Using the call numbers listed, you can more easily navigate our nonfiction collection. For those seeking information on a myriad of tough subjects from the comfort of their home, you might also consider our digital resources. With 24/7 borrowing capabilities, no late fees and the draw of "anonymous reading," apps such as Hoopla, Libby and the Ohio Digital Library website get information into the hands of our patrons when they need it most. No library card? No problem! During these uncertain times, Tiffin-Seneca Public Library is offering instant digital cards to provide access to the Ohio Digital Library and the Libby app. With just your mobile number, you can sign up for a digital card today. With a quick browse on the Libby app I was able to locate titles addressing: · grief: "It's Ok That You're Not Ok" by Megan Devine, · puberty: "Changing Bodies, Changing Lives" by Ruth Bell, · sexuality: "The Full Spectrum" by David Leviathan, · and addiction: "Being sober" by Harry Haroutunian The same is true for Hoopla, where I discovered titles discussing: · abuse: "Emotional Abuse Healing" by Robin Martel, · bullying: "Bye-Bye,Bully!" by J.S. Jackson, · and pregnancy/grief: "Beyond Pregnancy Loss" by Helen Abbott.
