Man dies after two-vehicle accident in Big Spring Township

A Findlay man died at the scene of a vehicle vs. motorcycle accident on CR 59 just east of CR 45 in Big Spring Township Saturday evening. Jeremy Martinez, 35, was driving a 2005 Honda Shadow motorcycle westbound on CR 59 about 5:25 p.m. Saturday, according to a release from the Norwalk post of State Highway Patrol. Tiffany Robertson, 35, also of Findlay, was driving a 2020 Ford Fusion eastbound at the time, the release states. According to the release, Robertson's vehicle went left of center and off the left side of the road. The vehicle swerved back into the westbound lane and struck Martinez's motorcycle, the release states. Martinez was ejected from the motorcycle, it states. After impact, Robertson's vehicle went off the right side of the road and struck a mailbox before coming to a stop in the roadway, the release states. Martinez was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported from the scene by the Seneca County Coroner's Office, according to the release. Martinez was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, the release states. Robertson did not sustain any injuries in the crash, the release states. Robertson was wearing her seat belt at the time of the accident, it states. It is unknown at this time whether alcohol and/or drugs were involved in the cause of the accident, the release states. Seneca County Sheriff's Office, NBS Joint Fire District, the Echo unit and D&D Total Repair assisted at the scene.
