Fostoria motel disturbance leads to car chase

FOSTORIA — Fostoria Police arrested multiple people Thursday after a disturbance at Fostoria Motel that led to a car chase and subsequent investigation. At about 4:32 p.m., Fostoria Police were called to the Fostoria Motel, 345 W. Lytle St., for a disturbance involving two men and a woman, including an altercation, a Fostoria Police Division release states. One man fled the scene when officers arrived and a vehicle pursuit ensued through Fostoria's south side, the release states. Police were able to stop and detain the man on-foot after he abandoned the vehicle and attempted to flee along the southwest portion of Westgate Mobile Home Park on West Lytle Street. The man has been identified as Storm L. Roberts, 28, of Deshler. Police found a knife, brass knuckles and drug paraphernalia in his possession at the scene, the release states. Back at the motel, Fostoria's K9 unit Marley was utilized and drug paraphernalia was found with two other individuals, it states. Evidence was seized and will be sent to Ohio BCI for analysis and charges are pending for these two other individuals, neither of which are from Fostoria, the release states. Two others who were indirectly involved were arrested at the motel Thursday for warrants. Robyn M. Lundy, 39, of Fostoria, was arrested for a warrant out of Findlay Municipal Court and Brian A. Steward, 40, of Tiffin, was arrested for a parole warrant out of Toledo and a warrant from Bowling Green Municipal Court, according to the release. The entire incident appears to be involving methamphetamine and other drug issues still under investigation, the report states. "My officers did a fantastic job at the scene; especially of capturing the fleeing individual without further incident," Fostoria Police Chief Keith Loreno said. "That individual could have really hurt or killed someone. "We are all truly sick and tired of drugs being brought into our community and their destruction of so many people's lives," he said.
