Ken Ganley location opens in Sandusky

SANDUSKY — A new Ken Ganley car dealership location has opened in Sandusky. Previously Kasper Buick GMC, Ken Ganley Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram took over at 2401 Cleveland Road. Three years ago, Ken Ganley opened a dealership in Norwalk, which now sells an average of 200 cars a month. General manager John Decker said they hope to bring the success developed in Norwalk to Sandusky. "We thought with our principles and philosophies, bringing those to Sandusky, there was a good opportunity for us to kind of touch an untouched market and be able to help not only people buy cars but help the community out," he said. Decker said they plan to double or triple the inventory in Sandusky right away. "We'll also be able to work on every make or model, not just Buick or GMC," he said. "We have full mechanical shops with certified mechanics to be able to work on all makes." Decker said they hope to bring more jobs to Sandusky, too. "I'm most excited to show the community they don't have to drive to Cleveland for great prices. They can get all the same amenities and experience right here in Sandusky," he said. "We have a lot more opportunities to do things other dealers can't." Ken Ganley is the largest auto group in Ohio with 46 dealerships throughout the state. Decker said one of the most important things for him is to give back to the community. He said he gives monetarily each month as random acts of kindness. "I want to show the community that we are normal people. We come to work like everyone else and we want to give people a great experience and a good deal," Decker said. "I love these communities. These communities are really something special, in my opinion, and I love being able to give back. It's one thing to come and sell cars and just be a car salesman but we really try to be more than that." Decker said he wants people to know Ken Ganley is more than a dealership. "It's about establishing relationships and I want everyone to know us as more than that," he said. "We are part of the community."
