New salon to open in downtown Tiffin

Tiffin native Alex Pardi is returning to the area after 14 years in Columbus to open a new salon. Locks by Cactus Hair Salon will open this spring at 33 Court St. Pardi co-owns Cactus Hair Salon in Columbus with her best friend Krystal Schadle. Schadle will continue to run the Columbus location when Pardi returns home to Tiffin. "I am so happy to be back in Tiffin, doing what I love," Pardi said. "My family is here, and I'm excited to be able to join a small town community that supports its small businesses." She plans to invest in all-new equipment for the salon, which will offer haircutting, extensions, hair coloring, blowouts, wedding parties, eyelash lifts and brow mapping. Pardi plans to hire three full-time and one part-time stylist. Pardi said the name "Cactus" was chosen because cacti can grow and thrive in any climate. "We have been through ups and downs and learned to thrive in many conditions," Pardi and Schadle said on the Cactus website. "Beauty comes in many forms and the most beautiful thing starts with loving yourself."
