David E. Durr

David E. Durr, 65, of Republic, passed away 5:15 p.m., Thursday, March 25, 2021, in the emergency room at Mercy Health — Tiffin Hospital. David was born Sept. 18, 1955, in Willard, to Louis and Lillian (Watkins) Durr. He married Sherry (Stover) June 26, 1981, and she preceded him in death. He later married Debbie (Bogart) June 6, 2015. Survivors include his wife, Debbie Durr of Republic; two children, Jeremy (Katie) Stover of Madison, Alabama and Jerrod Durr; a stepdaughter, Denise (Kurt) Clausen of Bellevue; five grandchildren; and two brothers, Bruce (Letty) Durr and Mark Durr, both of Willard. David worked as a security guard at Allied Universal Protection at MTD, Willard. He was a member of Republic United Church of Christ, Seneca Lodge, Cornelia Chapter of Order of the Eastern Star in Republic, Zenobia Shriners and Hornets. David was an avid sports fan of Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns. He was a 1974 graduate of Willard High School. Services for David will be 1:30 p.m., Thursday, April 1, 2021, at Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home, Bloomville, with Pastor Darla Metz officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service Thursday, April 1, 2021, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Willard.
