San Diego shooting suspect lived in area

Former Findlay resident Travis F. Sarreshteh, 32, was arrested Thursday, April 22, in San Diego, California, following an incident in which he shot five people, one of whom died at the scene according to a release. He used an untraceable gun, commonly referred to as a "ghost gun," to carry out the shooting, according to the release. Sarreshteh is alleged to have shot a 28-year-old man who died soon after at the scene. Sarreshteh then confronted a group of men and shot each of them. As he walked away from the scene, two men tackled Sarreshteh and held him until police arrived. The four surviving victims are expected to make a full recovery and are in stable condition. Findlay Municipal Court and Tiffin-Fostoria Municipal Court records show that Sarreshteh lived in Findlay from approximately 2006-2011. His local record, derived from the two court databases, shows a number of traffic-related offenses, though he was also charged with persistent disorderly conduct twice in Fostoria and possession of drug paraphernalia and underage drinking in Findlay.
