ODOT announces area projects

The following highway construction and maintenance work is scheduled this week in Hancock and surrounding counties, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation. Work depends on weather conditions and, unless otherwise noted, will take place during daytime hours. Hancock County Interstate 75, beginning south of Harrison Street/County Road 144 — which is south of the U.S. 68/Ohio 15 interchange — to the County Road 99 interchange, in Findlay, may experience periodic lane closures for finish work. U.S. 224, between Ohio 235 and Findlay, will experience lane restrictions for resurfacing. Ohio 15, between County Road 8 and Ohio 37, will be restricted to one lane in both directions for bridge repairs. Allen County I-75, between Napoleon Road and Ohio 235, south of Beaverdam to north of Bluffton, in Allen and Hancock counties, will experience lane restrictions and ramp closures for paving and reconstruction. U.S. 30 under the Slabtown Road overpass, between Stewart Road and Mayberry Road, will be restricted to one lane in both directions starting Wednesday to repair the structure. Work is expected to continue through August. Ohio 81/Findlay Road/Jackson Street, in Lima, at the bend where the road changes from Findlay Road to Jackson Street near Schoonover Lake, remains closed for realignment of the curve. Ohio 103/Jefferson Street, between County Line Road and the railroad crossing, in Bluffton, remains closed for roadway reconstruction. Fifth Street, in Delphos, will experience lane restrictions and closures to resurface two miles of roadway. Work also includes traffic signal upgrades, curb replacement and sidewalk installation. Work will occur between Menke Street and Lehman Road. Grubb Road, at Ohio 117, is open following a closure for a culvert replacement. Hardin Count Ohio 37, between Forest and the Hancock County line, may experience temporary traffic impacts for finish work following a resurfacing project. Ohio 53, between Forest and Kenton, may experience temporary traffic impacts for finish work following a resurfacing project. Putnam County U.S. 224, in Ottoville, will experience lane restrictions for resurfacing. Ohio 65/Belmore Street, between Turner Street and Broadway Street, in Leipsic, will close today for approximately seven days for railroad repair. Ohio 109, between Ohio 613 and the Henry County line, will experience moving operations for berming. Ohio 115, over Plum Creek, between Broad Street and Birch Drive, in Kalida, remains closed for a bridge replacement. Ohio 613 and Road T-16 is open following a closure for a culvert replacement. Ohio 613, between the Paulding County line and the Hancock County Line, will experience moving operations for berming. Seneca County U.S. 23, between Wyandot County and Fostoria, will experience lane restrictions for resurfacing and guardrail work beginning today. Work is estimated to be completed in October. Ohio 19, between Township Road 184 and County Road 6, in Bloomville, is open following bridge replacement over Silver Creek. Lane restrictions are possible for finish work. Ohio 231, between Township Road 90 and Township Road 58, in Tiffin, is closed due to a culvert failure. Wood County I-75, between Buck Road and Monroe Street, in Toledo/Rossford/Northwood, will be restricted to two lanes in each direction for major reconstruction. Lane restrictions and overnight ramp closures possible. Work is estimated to be completed in Fall 2023. I-75, between U.S. 6 and Poe Road, in Bowling Green, may experience lane restrictions for falsework installation in preparation for projects on Poe and Gypsy Lane roads. U.S. 6, between Van Tassel Road and Range Line Road, in Weston, will experience lane restrictions for pavement widening and drainage work near Ohio 235. Ohio 199, between U.S. 6 and Elm Street, in West Millgrove, may experience lane restrictions for microsurfacing beginning today. Work is estimated to be completed by September 1. Ohio 235, between Euler Road and Willow Road, in Weston, will be closed for pavement widening and drainage work beginning today. Ohio 795 at Lemoyne Road, in Millbury, may experience lane restrictions for signal replacement. Wyandot County U.S. 23/U.S. 30, between the U.S. 30 interchanges, around Upper Sandusky, will experience lane restrictions for pavement repairs. U.S. 23/U.S. 30, between the U.S. 30 interchanges, at Upper Sandusky, will experience lane restrictions to install cable rail. Ohio 103/Vance Street and Ohio 568/Findlay Street, in Carey, may experience temporary traffic impacts for a Safe Routes to School project. Ohio 199 over Little Tymochtee Creek, between County roads 42 and 44, will close today for approximately four months for a bridge replacement project.
