Robert E. "Buckeye Bob" Risner

Robert E. "Buckeye Bob" Risner, 73, of Republic, passed away Monday, June 21, 2021, at The Bellevue Hospital. Robert was born April 17, 1948, in Magoffin County, Kentucky to Lee and Letha (Patrick) Risner. Robert is survived by his fiancé, Sandra Sherman of Republic; his son, Rob Risner of Hilliard; five brothers, Charles Risner of Mansfield, Glenn Risner of Norwalk, Donnie Risner of Norwalk, Bill Risner of Willard, and Gerald Risner of Greenwich; five sisters, Rebecca Sue Howard of Middletown, Betty Walters Harnly of Spring Valley, Illinois, Beverly K. Enzor of Columbia, Kentucky, Joyce A. Deckling of Shelby, and Judy Bowman of Plymouth. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Imogene Risner. Robert worked as a meter reader for Columbia Gas Company, retiring in 2000. He was also owner and operator of Buckeye Trailers Inc., and was a member of Life Point Community Church. He was a 1969 graduate of Eastern Morehead State University. Robert's funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at Life Point Community Church, Plymouth, with Pastor Rich Hurleys officiating. Burial will follow at Edwards Grove Cemetery, Greenwich. Visitation for family and friends will be 4-7 p.m. Monday at Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home, 3085 S. SR. 19, Bloomville.
