Randell Hunt, Sr.

Randell Hunt, Sr., 81, of Toledo, passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at The University of Toledo Medical Center. Randell was born Aug. 29, 1939, in Prestonsburg, Kentucky to Andrew and Maudie (Hunt) Hunt. He married Barbara J. Lewis in July 1959, they later divorced, and she survives in Findlay. He is also survived by his two sons, Randell Jr. "Randy" (Maxine) Hunt of Tiffin and Gary L. (Bev Stevens) Hunt of Cape Coral, Florida; a daughter, Deborah J. Miller of Toledo; eight grandchildren, Josh (Rose) Hedges of Hawaii, Val (Mike) Beerbower of Dayton, Kevin (Emily) Hunt of Galloway, Brian (Samantha) Hunt of Tiffin, Sarah (Ryan) Sewell of Tiffin, Kristen Hunt of Fostoria, Cory Hunt of Fostoria, and Ryan Miller of Toledo; ten great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Andrew Hunt of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky and Joseph "Redwine" Sammons of Prestonsburg, Kentucky. Preceding him in death were his parents; stepfather, Joe Sammons; and a brother, Amos Hunt. Randell spent the majority of his working time at multiple manufacturing facilities in numerous states, with the majority spent at Roppe Rubber, Fostoria. He was a very hard worker and held two full-time jobs many times. Randell was quite the jokester and was quick to give the grandkids a nickname. There will be no funeral at this time. Dale-Riggs Funeral Home, Toledo, is assisting the family with arrangements.
