FREMONT — Marissa Cline claimed medalist honors by nine strokes Tuesday to help Hopewell-Loudon defend its Sandusky Bay Conference Bay Division Tournament title.Cline fired an 80 to take the top individual honor, while the Chieftains bested Gibsonburg 388-404 for the team championship at Fremont Country Club.Danbury edged Sandusky St. Mary 424-425 for third, followed by Calvert (445), Edison (447), Margaretta (471), Huron (477) and Willard (483).Emma Kidd and Jenna Brown shot twin 98s to back Cline for H-L, and Emily Brickner had a 112. Chieftains Tori Losey (118) and Taylor Reinhart (119) also played.Brooklyn Brown's 101 led Calvert. Woessner first, Tornadoes second in SBC LakeFREMONT — Ali Woessner turned in her best round yet Tuesday, capturing medalist honors en route to guiding Columbian to second at the Sandusky Bay Conference Lake Division Tournament at Fremont Country Club.Woessner carded an 86 for the Tornadoes, who ended second to Perkins in the team standings by a 398-303 margin.The runner-up spot in the tournament secured the overall runner-up spot in the conference for the Tornadoes, which is the best finish in program history for TC.Clyde upended Bellevue 417-427 for third in the tournament, followed by Vermilion (435), Port Clinton (454), Sandusky (461) and Norwalk (497).
