Republic woman missing

At approximately 3:07 a.m. Saturday, the Seneca County Sheriff's Office received a call from a man, who reported his wife, Kathleen Kiesel, 62, of Republic, had left the house on foot and he was unable to find her. Deputies and emergency personnel arrived at the scene, 9984 E. TR 122, Republic, in Scipio Township, the residence of Jack and Kathleen Kiesel, at approximately 3:17 a.m., according to information from the sheriff's office. Upon their arrival, deputies called for assistance from Scipio-Republic Fire Department, Bloom-Scipio EMS, Seneca County Community Emergency Response Team and additional area law enforcement, including multiple canine units from the Erie, Ottawa and Sandusky county sheriff's offices, Ohio State Highway Patrol Aviation Division and Arial Viewpoint Drone Unit. An extensive search began with various units searching on foot and on ATVs. It continued throughout the day and evening hours using numerous canines, multiple drones and helicopters to conduct the search by land and by air. The search and investigation are ongoing. "Investigators do find the whereabouts of Mrs. Kiesel as suspicious and it is considered to be an ongoing investigation. The Seneca County Sheriff's Office asks if anyone has seen or has any additional information leading to Mrs. Kiesel's whereabouts, please call Det.
