Pallet company moving into American Standard property

A new pallet manufacturing and logistics company is opening in Tiffin in a portion of the former American Standard facility, 324 4th Ave. Independent Pallet, which will make, recycle and distribute pallets across the country, plans to hire 30 people immediately and begin production early next year, a release from Tiffin-Seneca Economic Partnership states. The company plans to hire both laborers and drivers soon. They also wish to hire another 150 employees over the next three years, the release states. The company's investment totals $2.6 million, including new machinery, equipment and materials. With the help of Tiffin-Seneca Economic Partnership, Independent Pallet was able to secure an incentive through the City's New Jobs Program. The program was approved for Independent Pallet at a City Council meeting Monday. Company owner Luke Cavanaugh is quoted in the release, saying he is excited to bring his business to Tiffin. "We're ready to get started to work," he is quoted saying. "Thank you to Tiffin City Council for their part in approving the New Jobs Program for us." Matt Peace, a partner and developer for the project, added to the enthusiasm in the release. "It's been my dream to operate here in Seneca County, and I'm proud to be part of this venture," Peace is quoted saying.
