Former councilman rejoins Tiffin Council

Following a meeting Wednesday of the Seneca County Republican Central Committee, former Councilman Steve Lepard was appointed to serve the First Ward. Lepard had previously served as an at-large councilmember. He had been elected twice to the position. In addition, he had served the First Ward previously from February 2002-December 2011. During his time on council, Lepard had been chairman of the Streets, Sidewalks and Sewers Committee and ADA Advisory Committee and was a representative for the Downtown Development Board. "I am extremely humbled to be trusted by the Republican Central Committee to again represent the First Ward of the City of Tiffin," Lepard said in a Thursday release. "I have so appreciated my time on City Council and look forward to continuing to represent the people who first put me in office." Bridget Boyle, who began an appointment as council president at the beginning of the year, previously served as the First Ward Councilmember. Lepard is to serve the remaining term. Lepard was sworn in Thursday by Tiffin City Director of Law Brent Howard.
