Tiffin beer maker seeks restaurant partner

The Tiffin-Seneca Economic Partnership announced a new opportunity Monday listed on the Tiffin-Seneca Entrepreneurial Opportunity Clearinghouse. Codenamed "Project Watchface," the opportunity revolves around an alcoholic beverage manufacturer that's looking to partner with a local restaurant. The manufacturer is anonymous at this time, but has 10 employees on its payroll. The TSEP press release about the opportunity hints that the manufacturer makes a range of beers with plans to expand their offerings further. Project Watchface will remain open on the TSEOC website, tseoc.org, until April 8. Both established restaurant owners and entrepreneurs looking to start a restaurant in Tiffin are eligible for the partnership, which would involve co-locating in the same space as the alcohol manufacturer. Each business will be operated by their individual owners, with each having a stake in the joint venture, but they will reside in the same new space. New employees of the joint venture would need to demonstrate a knowledge of beer in order to assist customers, the listing states. TSEOC launched almost a year ago in April 2021 to facilitate the flow of entrepreneurial talent and capital to start-up, franchise and business acquisition opportunities in Tiffin and Seneca County. Project Watchface is the eighth opportunity to become available on the clearinghouse. "The Clearinghouse has been successful in helping businesses like Kuebler Shoes and T.J. Willie's transfer to the next generation of entrepreneurs," said Tiffin Mayor Aaron Montz. "We're also excited about its potential to facilitate partnerships like this one.
