Bair Brothers gets new owners

Russ and Deb Gahris plan on keeping tradition alive at Bair Brothers Sporting Goods by continuing the business' work of fashioning and selling custom embroidery and screen printing, interior signs and sports equipment for the area. The couple celebrated taking ownership of the business on Thursday afternoon, which included a ribbon cutting ceremony, community gathering and speeches delivered by administrators throughout the city of Tiffin, including Amy Reinhart, Director of Downtown Revitalization. "Russ and Deb have taken over a business that has been in downtown Tiffin for over 75 years," Reinhart said. "Locals went there when they were young, and now bring their children in for sports equipment and buying their own letterman jackets. "They are carrying on a legacy in the community." Previous owner Gary Ehrenfried passed the business down to Russ and Deb Gahris. Russ has been employed at the company for 27 years. "The services of the business are what has driven it over these last years," Russ Gahris said. Russ added the business will continue "giving great service and connecting with customers from around the area."
