John Clarence Willman

John Clarence Willman, 83, of Republic, passed away at 1:45 p.m. Saturday, March 26, 2022, at The Willows at Bellevue. John was born April 13, 1938, in Attica, to the late Raymond and Anna (Claus) Willman. He married Imogene E. (Wise) in Bismark, Ohio Jan. 2, 1960, and she survives in Republic. Other survivors include his daughter, Bridget Willman of Tiffin; two sons, Theodore (Michele) Willman and Vincent (Stacey) Willman, both of Republic; three grandsons, Lauren, James and Edward; two step-grandchildren, Lindsay and Jacob Dowler; two brothers, Eugene Willman of Attica and Edward Willman of Catawba Island; and five sisters, Mary Scarpelli of Howell, Michigan, Lucille Mone of Columbus, Rita Remlinger of Westerville, Jane Jones of Circleville and Cathy Grimes of Westlake. John worked as a carpenter for Ray Willman & Sons Builders and also was a lifelong farmer. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and a 1956 graduate of Attica High School. John was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Irene Willman. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday, March 31, 2022, at St. Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. Matthew Rader officiating. A rosary will be prayed 30 minutes prior to the Mass at church. Visitation for family and friends will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory, Tiffin. Burial will follow the services Thursday at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
