Flower shop expands in downtown Tiffin

Brian Ferguson, owner of Tom Rodgers Flowers, announced Wednesday he is expanding the business into custom framing and has purchased and renovated 257 Rear S. Washington St. with plans to make it an Airbnb location. The frame shop and Airbnb are to be operational in mid-May, according to a Tiffin-Seneca Economic Partnership news release. "I continue to believe and invest in Downtown Tiffin," Ferguson said in the announcement. "It has truly undergone an amazing revitalization, and I am pleased to be able to expand my business and create a place for people to stay overnight, so they can experience everything we have to offer." Tom Rodgers Flowers was established in 1947 by Theodore Rodgers, and Tiffin native Brian Ferguson purchased the business in 2014. In 2019, the release said the business upgraded the store and finalized a deal with Jim's Formal Wear to expand and sell and rent designer clothing. The new expansion adds custom framing, matting and shadow boxes to its services. "It is exciting to have a business in Downtown Tiffin for 75 years and watch as they continue to expand and keep it fresh for future generations to enjoy," said Mayor Aaron Montz.
