Old Fort Bank supporting local Chamber Cash program

Old Fort Banking Company and Seneca Regional Chamber of Commerce continue to provide support to the area's small businesses via the Chamber Cash program. Acting as a gift certificate program for more than 160 Chamber member businesses, the Chamber Cash program is a gift-giving option for people who want to support the local economy. Last year proved to be a record-breaking one for Chamber Cash, as it completed the year with $110,000 in sales, according to an Old Fort Bank news release. However, according to Chamber Executive Director Bryce Riggs, the program is on track to exceed last year's record. "With Old Fort Bank's support, we've seen significant growth in this program that we know directly impacts small businesses here in our community," Riggs said. "So far, year-to-date we've sold $6,200 in comparison to last year's $3,500 for the same time period. It is partnerships such as this that demonstrate how much better we are when working together." The release said community support and working together are cornerstones on which the bank was founded, as demonstrated annually through its support for community initiatives ranging from business financing to youth baseball sponsorships and 5Ks. "As a community bank, we believe it is our responsibility to provide support and develop strong roots in every location we serve," said bank President & CEO Michael C. Spragg. "The Chamber Cash program is an extension of these efforts, and we are proud to partner with the Chamber to offer this program to our local community." Chamber Cash can be ordered directly through the Chamber website and is available in $5, $10, $25 and $50 denominations. Orders placed can be filled within the next business day, making Chamber Cash an option for birthdays or Mother's Day gifts. Established in 1916, the employee-owned bank has assets totaling $825 million.
