Maryann Conley Shahade

Maryann Conley Shahade, 55, passed unexpectedly from this earthly life and entered into eternity with her Lord Wednesday, May 4, 2022, in Dublin, Ohio. Maryann was born June 30, 1966, in Columbia, Missouri to Jeanette Conley and the late Gerald Conley. She is survived by her daughter, Alexandria Christine Shahade of Columbus; sister, Jennifer (Frankie) Martinez; mother, Jeanette Conley; former husband, Dr. George Shahade; aunts, Rosemary Palmer and Sharyn Conley; nieces, Sarah (Anthony) Shumick and Audrey Vrancken; grand-nieces, Conley and Hayden Shumick; nephews, Caleb Vrancken and Jacob Vrancken; cousins, Mary Fleck (James, Lafe, and Sawyer), Angus Palmer, Hugh Palmer, Robyn Robbins, Jon Robbins, Emily LeGrand and Nicholas Robbins; and innumerable cherished friends. Maryann was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Conley; grandmothers, Iva Conley and Alice File; grandfathers, Elmer Conley and Andrew File; and cousin, Jed Robbins. Graduating from Mohawk High School in 1984, Maryann attended The Ohio State University and Marion Technical School of Nursing, passing her Ohio State Board of Nursing after graduation and becoming a registered nurse. As a professional registered nurse for over 22 years, she worked in Columbus hospitals serving at different times in the emergency room, coronary care department, intensive care unit and traumatic brain injury unit. She also worked for the State of Ohio Department of Health as a clinical outreach coordinator in the administration of wellness programs across the entire state. Her career allowed her to focus on her passion for health, fitness and wellness. Maryann's greatest love and most treasured gift in life was her beloved daughter, Alexandria Christine. Her unconditional love and heart for serving others are some of the many values she instilled in her daughter. A few of her favorite things included practicing yoga, cooking for her family and her beloved Labrador Retriever, Clyde Andrew. Maryann was a lifelong learner, ever curious and willing to strike up a conversation with anyone. She will be remembered for the warmth, love and light that she shared with all she encountered. The celebration of life services for Maryann will be at First Lutheran Church, Tiffin, including close family.
