Third Thursday this week

This week's Third Thursday celebration will be a Downtown Tiffin Bicentennial Birthday Party 5-9 p.m. with restaurants and retailers offering specials and a car cruise along Washington Street. Thursday Night Tunes at the Frost Kalnow Amphitheater at the East Green kicks off with a performance by Soul Pilot at 7 p.m., and the evening features the first Court Street Market, a collaboration of artists, crafters and makers of handmade goods from 5-8:30 p.m. on Court Street. Kids can play on an obstacle course as well as touch safety services vehicles at the city lots, including a firetruck, ambulance and police cars. They also can take part in a sidewalk chalk challenge at the Seneca County Justice Center, to be judged by Mayor Aaron Montz. Tiffin Pedal Company and the Renaissance of Tiffin on Wheels are donating their time to shuttle community members to various stops throughout downtown for free. Jolly's will be celebrating its 75th birthday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 4 p.m. and 75-cent hotdogs and free mini-root beer floats from 3-8 p.m. A DJ will be playing music from 6-9 p.m. Other participating businesses and their offerings include: • Bear's Den – DORA drinks. • Clover Club – food specials and DORA drinks. • JAM's Market – with more than 40 local vendors. • Laird Arcade Brewery (The LAB) – Therapy Thursday massages by Erica Snyder, LMT along with T-kay's crafted jewels and Studio 605 art displays. • MST Pub & Grub – DORA drinks. • Ralph's Joy of Living – wine tasting (reservation required). • Reino's Pizza and Pasta – food and DORA specials. • Renaissance of Tiffin – Happy Hour 5-11 p.m. and DJ playing music 6-9 p.m. • Rose & Co. – bicentennial cupcakes. • Tiffin-Seneca Public Library – set up at East Green to sign up people for the children's Summer Reading Program. • Viaduct Bar & Grille – half off appetizers and Happy Hour 4-9 p.m. with DORA drinks.
