Traffic box featured artist: Marisa Stephens

The first six traffic control boxes have been wrapped in downtown Tiffin as part of the Tiffin Municipal Arts Commission's traffic control box art contest. The following is the artist's artwork that has been chosen to wrap the traffic control boxes. Marisa Stephens is a Tiffin native and currently works as the Stakeholder Relations & Marketing Manager for the Seneca Regional Chamber and Destination Seneca County. Prior to moving back to her hometown, Marisa graduated from Kent State University and lived in Utah for three years. Marisa moved home about a year ago and loves being back with her family and in Seneca County with all that it has to offer! Marisa sits on the Tiffin Bicentennial Committee and submitted this piece to represent 200 years of Tiffin history and the year of celebrating Tiffin's birthday. You can see the historic courthouse, the new justice center, and elements that represent the exciting events that are taking place for the 200th year. In addition to the bicentennial committee, Marisa is a mentor for SMYL, a board member for the Seneca County Young Professionals, a Ritz Player, and a volunteer coach for the YMCA cross country program, just to name a few. Marisa does not claim herself to be an artist, but loves to be creative in her work and free time! She is super grateful and excited to see all that TMAC will accomplish to make our city beautiful! Marisa's artwork pays homage to the Tiffin 200 Bicentennial celebration, combining the past, present and future of Tiffin. Artwork will be displayed at the intersection of S. Washington and E.
