Tickets on sale for Seneca County Fair

Seneca County Fair is selling tickets online and is preparing to accept entries for this year's fair, scheduled for July 25-31. People may enter items in many categories such as fine arts, including art and photography; crafts, collections and needlework; cooking, canning and baking; floral; wine and beer; farm produce; and livestock. Entries will be accepted in the Senior Fair office 9 a.m.-5 p.m. July 5-9 and July 11-13. People may make entries by filling out an entry form and purchasing a membership ticket, which is for Seneca County residents only, or a season ticket. Both are $22 and may be purchased in the Senior Fair office. Children can enter entries under a parent's ticket. There is no cost to enter non-livestock entries, outside of purchasing a ticket and any costs incurred with creating the entries. Once entries are made, tags will be printed to be attached to the items. The items then are taken to the fairgrounds on the days leading up the fair. People may visit the fair's website to purchase tickets. Season and membership passes and weekly parking passes are available in the office. Pre-sale daily general admission tickets are available for a discounted rate of $8. The daily general admission increases to $10 at noon July 1. Veterans are admitted free on July 25, and senior citizens are admitted free on July 26. Daily general admission does not include rides, and a hand stamp is required for re-entry. Week and student passes will be available at Gates 1 and 3, and cash sales will be limited to Gates 1 and 3. This year, the fair will welcome Granger Smith/Earl Dibbles Jr., with special guest Tyler Braden for a concert at 7:30 p.m. July 27. Grandstand seating is $35, and track, stage front and bleacher seating is $45. Anyone purchasing a concert ticket may purchase a discounted fair gate admission ticket for $5. The discounted admission ticket must be purchased at the same time as the concert ticket, and only is good for the day of the concert. Tickets for the A-Bar Rodeo Bulls and Barrels event at 7 p.m. July 29 are $7. Kids 42 inches tall and shorter are admitted free. Tickets are good for grandstand or infield seating. The Twisted Metal Demo Derby is set for 7 p.m. July 30. Tickets are $20 — with an extra vehicle infield pass available for $10 — and are good for the grandstand or infield. Those 42 inches tall and shorter are admitted free. The Ohio State Tractor Pullers Association truck and tractor pull is planned for 5 p.m. July 31. Tickets are $20, with those 42 inches tall and shorter free, and are good for grandstand or infield seating. There is no charge to enter the fair on July 31. The Grandstand Ultimate Bundle includes grandstand seating for the concert on July 27 as well as admission to Bulls and Barrels, the demolition derby and the truck and tractor pull. Cost of the bundle is $78 without daily fair admission, or $103 with discounted fair admission for July 27 through July 31.
