'Write what you know'

Solo musician Bryan Bielanski will be performing at the Viaduct Bar & Grill, 84 N. Washington St., on Sept. 10. The Parma-born performer said music has been a part of his life since he was a small kid. "One of my earliest memories is being a baby in the crib with my parents blaring rock and roll," he said. He has been performing full-time since 2012 but had performed part-time prior to that. Currently, he resides in North Carolina, where he spent the majority of his childhood. However, he visits Ohio to see family and friends. Bielanski has performed in Ohio as well, but never in Tiffin. "This will be my first Tiffin performance. I've never been to that area of the state so I'm looking forward to seeing it." Bielanski describes his music as an acoustic marriage of Nirvana and the Beatles. His inspiration comes from artists like Tom Petty and REM. His music is inspired by happy, positive experiences and traveling. "I believe it was Mark Twain who said 'write what you know'. I enjoy traveling so that's what I like to sing about," he said. He has toured all over the world in places like China, Germany, Greece, Russia, Switzerland and Thailand. Bielanski has also toured in the US and is currently on a US tour. He is a solo artist so during his live sets, he only plays acoustically. However, in his album Bryan's Super Happy Fun Time II, he plays all the instruments heard on the tracks. You can stream Bielanski's album wherever you stream music.
