FOSTORIA — Blake Foos threw for two touchdowns and ran for another Friday as Seneca East rallied to beat Fostoria 18-13.Fostoria (0-2) looked to have momentum after Gavin Miller scored on a 7-yard run early in the third quarter to push its lead to 13-6, but the Tigers bounced back.Foos found Austin Perry for a 5-yard touchdown pass to get within a point later in the third period, then broke off a 34-yard scoring sprint in the fourth to put the Tigers (2-0) ahead.The Redmen opened the scoring on Miller's 27-yard strike to Brayden Harrison in the first period, but Foos got Seneca East within 7-6 in the second period when he hit Korbin Beamer with a TD toss from 28 yards out.Foos finished with 78 yards rushing and 81 yards passing for Seneca East. Chieftains shut out, shut down MohawkBASCOM — Hayden Welly rumbled for a pair of short-yardage scores and Evan Kreais threw two touchdown passes Friday as Hopewell-Loudon blanked Mohawk 29-0 in a matchup of teams seeking their first win.Welly bulled in from the 2 and Braylon Martinez added a conversion run to put the Chieftains (1-1) on top 8-0 in the first quarter.Welly plowed in from the 1 in the second period, and Kreais found Jagger Endicott for a 40-yard TD strike later in the period to send the Chieftains into halftime with a 21-0 lead..Kreais hit Blake Berrier with a 32-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter and Martinez added another conversion run to close out the scoring.Berrier also picked off a pass to help keep the Warriors (0-2) scoreless. Strong first half propels Blue Devils past Tigers CAREY — Carey stormed out early then fended off a Galion second-half uprising in a 41-21 home victory. The Blue Devils (2-0) started off slow in their Week 1 opener against Hopewell-Loudon, but it was opposite in this game as Austin Niederkohr had three touchdowns and an interception in an electric first half that saw the home team take a 27-0 advantage. Lance Rickle scored the team's other first-half score on a 25-yard run.Galion (0-2) battled back in the second half with three scores, but a Landen Kemmerly 45-yard fumble return for a score and game-sealing 20-yard run by Conner Norden were enough to cage the Tigers. Norden had 69 rushing yards to lead Carey's attack, while Rickle added 67 yards and Niederkohr and Eli Steen each had 60 yards. Rickle and Carter Smiley split time at quarterback, combining to go 3 of 7 passing for 27 yards with Alex Putnam, Jordan Mattimoe and Doug Pinkerton snagging passes. Lane Hill recovered a fumble, while Ethan Bretz blocked a punt. Elijah Chafin scored on both a touchdown reception and fumble recovery for the Tigers, while Cooper Kent and Braxton Prosser each pitched scoring passes. Landon Campbell caught a pass for a score. Fliers slip past Holy NameCLYDE — Abram Morrison ran for two touchdowns and threw for another and the defense held Holy Name in check in the second half Friday as Clyde battled to a 20-17 win.Both offenses worked better in the first half.Holy Name (1-1) snapped a scoreless tie on Jayvon Williams' 12-yard run for a 7-0 lead with 4:28 to go in the first quarter, but the Fliers sliced that deficit to a point on a 25-yard Morrison run four minutes later.The Green Wave countered with Curtis Robinson's 25-yard field goal less than three minutes into the second period to push their lead to 10-6, but Morrison raced in from 3 yards out and Mason Gurney hit the PAT to put Clyde up 13-10 at the 3:07 mark.Holy Name answered just before halftime, with Williams finding Andrew Cole for a 6-yard TD strike and a 17-13 lead.It stayed that way until 3:28 remained in the third period when Morrison found Adam Kauble for a 3-yard touchdowns pass for the Fliers (2-0).Morrison ended up throwing for 142 yards and running for 48 more. Holman, Hill propel Rams to victoryUPPER SANDUSKY — Kaden Holman ran for two touchdowns and threw a pair of TD strikes to Ethan Hill on Friday as Upper Sandusky powered past Mount Gilead 26-6.Holman snapped a scoreless tie with a 23-yard run with less than a minute left in the opening period, then added a 58-yard scoring strike to Hill with 94 seconds to go in the second quarter to put the Rams (1-1) up 14-0.In the third quarter, Hill hauled in a 28-yard scoring pass from Holman and Holman tacked on a 34-yard TD run.The Indians (1-1) avoided the shutout on Matthew Bland's 28-yard run early in the fourth quarter. Lohr-led Eagles thump RaidersNORTH ROBINSON — Kamryn Lohr threw two of his three touchdown passes in a dominant second quarter Friday as Colonel Crawford steamrolled Lakota 42-3.The Eagles (2-0) ended the first quarter up 14-2 at Lohr hit Trevor Vogt with a 47-yard TD strike and Matt Clinard barrelled in from the 5.Then Colonel Crawford put the game away.Micah Thomas (25 yards) and Tanner Dyer (11 yards) each added scoring runs by the midway point of the second period before Lohr tallied TD tosses of 34 yards to Jacob Maddy and 47 yards to Vogt before halftime.The Raiders (1-1) got the on the board near the end of the first period when Brandon Leal connected on a 36-yard field goal. Cardinals take down RedmenBELLEVUE — The Redmen traded scores early, but were unable to keep up with the host Cardinals in Friday's non-league home matchup in a 28-12 loss.Trailing 7-0, Bellevue got on the board with a 3-yard TD run by Jax Lapata with 5:03 left in the first half. The try for two points failed, but the Redmen trailed just 7-6.However, the Cardinals got a touchdown pass in the final minute of the half to go up 14-6, then scored twice in the third quarter to put the game away.Bellevue closed out the scoring in the fourth quarter when Ashton Martin hauled in a 72-yard scoring pass from Lapata.Tyler Ray caught nine passes for 141 yards in the setback for the Redmen. Bellevue finished 16-of-25 passing for 268 yards and a TD, but were limited to 33 yards on 21 rush attempts.Bellevue visits former Northern Ohio League rival Shelby next Friday.
