Love Local campaign launching

TIFFIN — Seneca Regional Chamber of Commerce is planning to launch its second annual Love Local campaign Tuesday. The campaign is meant to encourage people living in Seneca County to support "all things local" instead of going out of town or online for holiday and other purchases. According to the Small Business Administration for every dollar spent at a small business in the United States, about 67 cents stays in the local community. Last year, the campaign reached more than 90,000 users on social media. This year's campaign is to include social media features, videos, contests and similar posts focusing on why community members should support local businesses such as information on economic impact, job creation, quality of services and products and support of neighbors. The Love Local campaign was established in 2021 and was inspired by the annual Small Business Saturday event. Small Business Saturday, sponsored by American Express, takes place this year on Nov. 26 across the country. The chamber encourages the community to support local every day of the year and to put their money where their heart is.
