DayBreak receives grant

FOSTORIA --- DayBreak of Fostoria, Inc., an adult day respite center on the campus of Good Shepherd Home in Fostoria, has received a $4,000 grant from The Columbus Foundation's Allen Eiry Fund for the improvement of the cognitive engagement and social enrichment needs of as many people as possible.Good Shepherd Home announced the reception of the grant in a news release Friday.DayBreak of Fostoria, which opened in 2000, offers a variety of mind exercises, socialization, wellness components and SAIDO Learning, which is a non-pharmaceutical learning therapy that is shown to slow or reverse the signs of Alzheimer's Disease."DayBreak is grateful for the continued support of The Columbus Foundation," said Wendy Foss, Good Shepherd Home's director of home services.
