Home of Fostoria man searched last week

FOSTORIA --- A Fostoria man's home was searched in a drug bust last week, resulting in suspected cocaine, criminal tools and US currency. On Dec. 13, the Seneca County Drug Task Force – METRICH Enforcement Unit along with officers and agents from Fostoria Police Department and Ohio Attorney General's Bureau of Criminal Investigation executed a warrant at 607 James Marie Ct., the residence of Derrick V. Harris, 51. The search warrant unveiled suspected cocaine, criminal tools and US currency. Charges of trafficking in cocaine and possession of criminal tools are pending against Harris. The charges are pending upon the conclusion of the entire investigation and the return of the lab results on the suspected drugs. "The mission of our unit has not changed," Brandon Bell, Seneca County Drug Task Force – METRICH Enforcement Unit Unit Coordinator, said. "Our number one priority is the aggressive pursuit of identifying and investigating those involved in the illegal distribution of narcotics within Seneca County."
