Old Fort approves NCOESC contract

During the Old Fort Local Schools Board of Education meeting earlier this week, an updated version of the Foundation Contract with North Central Ohio ESC was approved for a cost of $111,074.55. NCOESC provides a network of resources to both local and national school districts, including a few services within Old Fort Schools. The contract was increased by $430 from the fall agreement. Next, College Credit Plus agreements with Tiffin University for the 2023-24 school year were approved as well as a renewal of the district's membership with Ohio High School Athletic Association for the 2023-24 school year. All personnel items on the agenda were approved, including the resignation of School Counselor Secretary Elizabeth Peck, and Assistant Principal/Athletic Director Kevin Dick. Pending paperwork, the Board also motioned to pass personnel items to hire four athletic coaches and two class co-advisors. Finally, the board approved the following donations: $200 from an anonymous donor to the bowling department. $120 from the Schank, Joseph, Jameson, Dinan and Johnson Families to the elementary lunchroom account. $202.82 to the elementary library from the Schank and Wise Families for all overdue books at the elementary. $615 from The Front 9 to the golf department. Classroom books from local families to the elementary school. The board then entered into executive session to discuss employment of employees. With no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
