Hopewell-Loudon offers open enrollment program

BASCOM --- Hopewell-Loudon Local School District is a participant in the Open Enrollment program. DID YOU KNOW: · Hopewell-Loudon High School is one of the highest performing schools in a multi-county area and one of the highest in the state for our math scores. · To accommodate all students' needs and learning styles, and to provide more course offerings, the Chieftain Academy was created. Online course options are provided for those students in search of credit flexibility, credit recovery, those with scheduling conflicts, or those looking to challenge themselves with courses outside our normal curriculum. The Chieftain Academy is open to all students in grades 7-12. · We are one of the few districts in Seneca County to have a One-to-One technology initiative in place. All students in grades K-12 have a Chromebook to use at home and school. · 46% of our juniors and seniors take College Credit Plus classes, and 4 of our teachers are adjunct professors with Bowling Green State University. · 89% of students in grades 9-12 are in athletics and/or music. · 38% of juniors and seniors are National Honor Society Members. · Our elementary and junior high/ high school have implemented the Leader In Me program, where leadership, culture and academics are integrated to focus on the development of the whole child. · Our high school has implemented a leadership model, the Seneca County Youth Leadership Council, in collaboration with other Seneca County schools. · Hopewell-Loudon received an "Exceptional" rating on our transportation based on safety, efficiency, and drop-offs, by Ohio Department of Education's standards. · We offer state-of-the-art facilities, and a low student-teacher ratio. · We are the first school in Seneca County to use solar energy. An accompanying curriculum is furnished for our students, providing learning opportunities focusing on energy consumption and conservation. Applications for open enrollment for the 2023-2024 school year will be accepted online only.
