Fostoria officer arrests, charges 15 sexual predators

FOSTORIA—Fostoria Police Chief Gabe Wedge made an announcement Tuesday, during the regular Fostoria City Council meeting that Officer Kyle Reinbolt was chosen as the Officer of the Year, 2022, for his hard work throughout the past 10 months which involved arresting and charging 15 different sexual predators. "He wasn't assigned to the Detectives Bureau, he did this on his own time," Wedge said of Reinbolt, noting that he continued to work the road and take calls as other officers did. Additionally, Reinbolt conducted a traffic stop where he took two ounces of fentanyl out of a car. "To some that might not seem like a lot, but when you break it down by DEA standards, one ounce by itself is able to kill 14,000 people," Wedge said. Reinbolt has been conducting special covert operations, as part of the national program, Internet Crimes Against Children, also known as ICAC. During his investigations, numerous charges were filed against the suspects including Attempted Sexual Conduct with a Minor, Importuning and Disseminating Harmful Material to a Juvenile. "There is no greater threat to our community than those who prey upon our children," said Wedge. "We will continue to go after and apprehend these individuals, whether online or in-person—giving them each their day in court, but most importantly bringing them into the light so the community knows." During these operations, Officer Reinbolt had contact with the suspects online and through texting; posing as a child, who was sought out by the suspects to engage in sexual conduct. While most of these subjects have been convicted and sentenced, several of these alleged offenders still have pending court cases and will be afforded their due process. The individuals who were apprehended during the said operations include: Chase McDonald of Fostoria, 31, Attempted Sexual Contact with a Minor, Importuning and Disseminating Harmful Material to a Juvenile; Allen Heacock of Fostoria, 27, Attempted Sexual Conduct with a Minor and Importuning; David Koepfer of Toledo, 36, Attempted Sexual Conduct with a Minor, Importuning and Disseminating Harmful Material to a Juvenile; Chris Mora of Tiffin, 25, Attempted Sexual Conduct with a Minor and Importuning; Dennis Loudenslager of Vanlue, 35, Attempted Sexual Conduct with a Minor, Importuning and Disseminating Harmful Material to a Juvenile; Jonathon Busanet of Florida, 31, Attempted Sexual Conduct with a Minor and Importuning; Marcus Blust of Tiffin, 24, one count of Attempted Sexual Conduct with a Minor, three counts of Importuning and three counts of Disseminating Harmful Material to a Juvenile; Ryan Eligon of Bowling Green, 23, Attempted Sexual Conduct with a Minor, Importuning and Disseminating Harmful Material to a Juvenile; Stanley Davis of Toledo, 70, Attempted Sexual Conduct with a Minor and Importuning; Mark Ward of Fostoria, 32, Attempted Sexual Conduct with a Minor and Importuning; James Williams of Fostoria, 39, Attempted Sexual Conduct with a Minor, Importuning and Disseminating Harmful Material to a Juvenile; Chris Phillips of Erie, PA, 31, Attempted Sexual Conduct with a Minor, Importuning and Disseminating Harmful Material to a Juvenile; Bryce Boskovich of Clyde, 26, Attempted Sexual Conduct with a Minor, Importuning and Disseminating Harmful Material to a Juvenile; Jedidiah Liles of Bucyrus, 38, Attempted Sexual Conduct with a Minor and Importuning; and Randall Rock of Fostoria, 41 Importuning and Disseminating Harmful Material to a Juvenile.
