Campus notes: Bluffton, Findlay, Miami (Ohio)

BLUFFTON, Ohio Sandusky native Miranda Billman qualified for Bluffton University's dean's list for undergraduate students for the fall 2022 term. Students with a GPA of 3.6 or higher are eligible for the dean's list. Additionally, Bishop Florence of Green Springs and Josh Neuberger of Norwalk were named to the dean's list with distinction for "continued high achievement," according to the university. Students with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.75 based on 20 semester hours received dean's list with distinction. CHARLESTON, S.C. Jack Bowles, of Norwalk, was among the more than 1,200 cadets and students recognized for their academic achievements during the fall 2022 semester at The Citadel, an institution that offers a classic military college education for young men and women focused on leadership excellence and academic distinction. The dean's list is a recognition given to cadets and students who are registered for 12 or more semester hours and whose grade point average is 3.20 or higher, with no incomplete grade and no grade below C for work in a semester. Cadets who are named to the dean's list receive a medal, which is worn on their uniform during the semester following their academic achievement. Non-cadet students on the dean's list are presented a certificate. FINDLAY More than a dozen local students made the dean's list for the fall 2022 semester at the University of Findlay. To earn this achievement, a student must attain a grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. To be eligible for the president's list, honorees must be full-time undergraduate students with a 4.0 GPA for least 12 semester hours of classes. • Vermilion's Adam McCann and Jana Meisler of Marblehead were among more than 775 students were awarded undergraduate and advanced degrees and certificates at Youngstown State University's fall graduation ceremony. McCann earned a bachelor of science degree in criminal justice, and Meisler earned a master of business administration degree in business healthcare management.
