SBC All-Stars tip off Monday

FREMONT — A dozen area players and the coaching staffs from three local teams will take part in this year's Sandusky Bay Conference Senior All-Star Basketball Classic on Monday.Terra State Community College is hosting this year's event. The girls game begins at 6 p.m., with the boys playing 30 minutes after the girls game ends.Admission is $5.Players from all three conference divisions will be grouped into two teams for each game. In some cases, high school teammates will play on opposing all-star teams.The home girls team will include area athletes Lexi Carlson of Clyde, Cameran Cleveland of Old Fort and Dallas Poll of Columbian. The visiting team will have Bellevue's Dom Weisz, Lakota's Carlie Foos, New Riegel's Ella Wank, Columbian's Mackenzie Davis and Calvert's Lydia Ardner.The rest of the home team will have Gibsonburg's Elle Stout, Huron's Mia Hurst, Margaretta's Jaelle Keller, Norwalk's Brooklyn Davis, Vermilion's Kaitlin Colahan, Port Clinton's Claudia Gillum and Sandusky's Emerie Morgan.The rest of the visiting team will have Danbury's Kamil Stephens, Edison's Kalli Quillen, Perkins' Cameron Kaufman, Huron's Caylin McCormick and Willard's Syana Sivongsak.Locals on the boys home team are Bellevue's Ty Ray, Clyde's Abe Morrison, New Riegel's Drew Hohman and Old Fort's Adam Magers.No area players will compete on the visiting team.The rest of the home team includes Edison's Jack Brown, Perkins' Jayden Rowe, Sandusky's De'Mar Moore, Sandusky St. Mary's Brock Gill, Vermilion's Andrew Hendershot and Norwalk's Ashton Coe.The visiting team will have Danbury's Blake Barker, Huron's Luke Rager, Margaretta's Hayden Wiley, Norwalk's Braedyn Demuth, Port Clinton's Adam Thorbahn and Owen Auxter, Fremont St. Joe's Jackson Wright, Willard's Alex Strayer, Sandusky's Daylen Green and Perkins' Drake Venerucci.The teams will be coached by the staffs of the conference champions in all three divisions.Lakota (River), Margaretta (Bay) and Bellevue (Lake) will provide coaches for the girls game, while the boys game will have coaches from Hopewell-Loudon (River), Willard (Bay) and Sandusky (Lake).
