Seneca CEO to host pitch competition

Students from the Seneca County CEO program are pitching their companies to the public, and before you know it, their products will be available for purchase. The Pitch Competition is to take place at 6:30 p.m., March 29 at Tiffin University's Franks Hall. The competition consists of three young entrepreneurs pitching their businesses and an update from Seneca CEO alums. The businesses include goat milk soaps, a French/Mexican cuisine restaurant and a specialty sauce company. The students receive two minutes to pitch their company to the audience to the best of their ability. As a guest, those in attendance will receive the opportunity to witness first-hand three new and exciting companies coming to Seneca County, as well as how the three young entrepreneurs are making it happen. The Seneca County Community leaders have significantly impacted these three students, along with the alums; come check out all of the hard work they have poured into their businesses. Recently, local students experienced banker day with three local bankers, Jerry Weininger and Grant Ekleberry of First National Bank of Sycamore, and John Schuld of Sutton Bank. The students sat for about 20 minutes each with each of the bankers. The bankers proposed questions about their products, business and future plans, and then provide feedback and suggestions. The bankers provided their recommendations to the CEO board, who will decide final approval on funding awarded to the students.
