V-S students place at state competition, on to nationals

COLUMBUS—In February, Vanguard-Sentinel Career and Technology Center students competed in the 2023 Northwest Regional SkillsUSA contest hosted at Sentinel, where several students advanced to state. During the State SkillsUSA competition awards ceremony on April 26, numerous students from both Sentinel and Vanguard campuses place in the state finals within gold, silver and bronze categories. "Congratulations to all competitors on a job well done, we are proud of each and every one of you," stated a social media post by Vanguard-Sentinel Career and Technology Centers. "We are impressed with our kids every day, but today is the day we learned that our kids impress at the state level!" Gold medalists will be moving on to the the 2023 National Leadership Skills Competition, June 19-23.
