SYCAMORE — Both pitchers gave the other team fits, but Julia Brodman highlighted a three-run burst with a solo homer in the sixth Friday as Carey battled past Mohawk 4-1 to stay atop the Northern 10 Athletic Conference standings.Carey improved to 10-1 in the N10, a half game ahead of Upper Sandusky (9-1) and a 1 1/2 games ahead of Colonel Crawford (9-2). At the plate, Ava Saull (2 2Bs, 4 RBIs) and Addie Endicott (3B, 3 RBIs) both tallied four hits for Calvert, while Selah Moyer (HR, 2B, 3 RBIs), Hannah Miller (2B, 4 RBIs) and Allee Ritzler (2B, 2 RBIs) all added three hits and Kaleigh Concepcion and Alyssa Rishty (2 RBIs) each had two hits.
