Man indicted on rape charges

PORT CLINTON — A man could face life in prison after he was accused of sexually assaulting a child in 2007.An Ottawa County grand jury recently indicted Bryan Hofacker, 41, of Port Clinton, on four counts of rape after he allegedly sexually assaulted two victims multiple times, according to the Ottawa County Prosecutor's Office.Two of the charges originate from 2007 when the alleged victim was under the age of 10 years old, which means if found guilty of the charges he could be sentenced to life in prison under Ohio's law.The other two stem from this year between the months of February and April. The victim in these charges was above the age of 10 making the offenses a first-degree felony. Port Clinton police investigated the case.There are no court dates set for his case in the Ottawa County Common Pleas Court, but a warrant has been issued for his arrest.Others recently indicted include:• Frances Curry, 65, of Painesville, OVI, child endangerment, failure to yield, seat belt violation, three counts of marijuana possession and two counts of aggravated vehicular assault.• Keegan Camp, 24, of Graytown, marijuana trafficking.• Alberto Vasquez, 24, who's held in the Ottawa County jail, disrupting public service, unlawful restraint and domestic violence.• Jacob Carrisales, 25, of Creston, three counts of counterfeiting.• Ronnie Stone, 39, who's held in the county jail, assaulting a police officer and intimidation.• Catherine Aldrich, 48, of Curtice, theft and forgery.• Ashley Purdy, 32, of Mount Blanchard, unauthorized use of a vehicle and complicity to theft.• Robert Purdy, 32, of Findlay, unauthorized use of a vehicle and complicity to theft.• Edwards Dolesh, 57, of Cleveland, domestic violence.• Tamara Schultz, 54, of Genoa, aggravated Adderall possession drug paraphernalia possession.• Darryl Shinkan, 52, who's held in the county jail, domestic violence.• Nakia Witcher, 44, of Toledo, domestic violence, assaulting a police officer and obstructing official business.• Srdan Banovic, 22, who's held in the county jail, aggravated burglary and assault.• Daigan El-Berri, 19, who's held in the county jail, felonious assault.• Donald Seder Sr., 57, of Sandusky, heroin possession, fentanyl possession fentanyl related compound possession and evidence tampering.• Lesa Zunk, 55, of Port Clinton, cocaine possession, drug paraphernalia possession and OVI.• Brian Dasher, 42, of Fairview Park, disrupting public service, protection order violation and criminal damaging.• Keegan Willoughby, 18, of Port Clinton, unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and importuning.An indictment is merely a formal charge and does not denote guilt or innocence.Reach reporter Michael Harrington at michaelharrington@sanduskyregister.com, follow the Register at Facebook.com/SanduskyRegisterThe Ottawa County Courthouse on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2019.
