Officer Kaden Wuescher

National Police Week takes place the week of May 15 every year. This year National Police Week is May 14 – May 20. According to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, in 1962, President John Kennedy proclaimed May 15 as National Peace Officers Memorial Day and the calendar week in which May 15 falls, as National Police Week. In honor of National Police Week, the A-T interviewed local law enforcement to shine a light on the men and women of Tiffin Police Department and Seneca County Sheriff's Office. The A-T spoke to Tiffin Police Officer Kaden Wuescher. He was born and raised in Tiffin, graduating from Calvert Catholic Schools. Wuescher then attended Terra State Community College where he received an associate degree in criminal justice. After graduating from Terra State, he graduated from Terra State's Police Academy. Wuescher said he joined the police force because he wanted to help people in the community he grew up in. He also enjoys trying to help in making the community a better place. "I would have to say traffic enforcement is part of the job I enjoy most," Wuescher said. "I also enjoy getting to meet the people in my community, I have met some interesting people throughout the course of this job." In his free time, Wuescher enjoys golfing, fishing and exercising.
