Local announces 2024 commissioner run

Local man Brent Busdeker announced his candidacy for Seneca County Commissioner. He will be running in the 2024 Republican primary race for the seat currently served by Commissioner Tyler Shuff. Busdeker co-owns King Industrial Supply Inc. and is a wrestling coach at Tiffin Middle School. He is a graduate of Ohio State University and earned a degree in communications. In a press release, he said he is ready to serve the residents of Seneca County and is well-equipped to bring fresh insights and efficient management to the county's administration. Busdeker said his strong business background, coupled with his commitment to fiscal responsibility, positions him as a uniquely qualified candidate for the position of county commissioner. "I will bring experience, dedication, and professionalism to the commissioners' office," Busdeker said. "I will continue to protect our tax dollars and ensure we are getting value from the dollars we do spend." As a county commissioner, Busdeker said he will be dedicated to bringing transparency, efficiency and community-focused decision-making to the Seneca County Commissioners' office. He and his wife, Lynn, are proud parents to Luc, Gianna, and Vinnie and are members of St. Joseph Church. Busdeker is a past board member of the YMCA and a previous Tiffin Youth football coach. Shuff's term expires Jan. 2, 2025, with the election commencing Nov. 5, 2024. Commissioner Anthony Paradiso's term expires Jan. 1, 2025, with the election commencing along with Shuff's. Commissioner Bill Frankart's term will expire Dec. 31, 2026, with the election commencing Nov. 3, 2026. Paradiso has recently announced his intent to run for re-election.
