Clyde boys send three entries to regional finals

LEXINGTON — Just a handful of area entries qualified for Saturday's finals during Thursday's portion of the Division II girls and boys regional track meets.Clyde tallied all of the local boys qualifiers.Damarius Chrisman advanced in the 400 (51.19) and anchored the 4x200 (1:31.75) and 4x400 (3:28.14) teams into Saturday's portion of the meet.Fliers Payton Aldrich, Jay Plummer and Zane Townsley rounded out the 4x200, while Dawson Brimmer, Hayden Rex and Townsley filled out the 4x400.Clyde's Cora Liskai reached the finals in the girls 400 (1:00.21), as did Bellevue's Ella Rucker in the 100 hurdles (15.54).Fostoria's Karma Williams was the only area competitor to place in a finals event held Thursday. She finished eighth in the girls shot (36-6 3/4).The top four in each event qualify for next week's state meet in Columbus.The regional meets resume Saturday, with several more area athletes scheduled to compete.
