Ralph's Scratch, Dent & Delight, the latest venture by Ralph and Julie Smothers, is opening at 108 Adams St., Tiffin, in a historic 16,000-square-foot warehouse originally built in 1913 for the Gray and White Poultry Co. Also, owners of Ralph's Joy of Living, a news release from Tiffin-Seneca Economic Partnership said the new project is "set to redefine the discount appliance shopping experience for the community." The new store is to celebrate a grand opening June 24. Ralph's Joy of Living has been serving customers since 1950, and the release said Ralph's Scratch, Dent & Delight is a natural extension of the company's commitment to providing top-notch products and services. The store will exclusively offer GE appliances "as-is" at discounted rates. Appliances available at the new location include a factory warranty and are thoroughly tested onsite to ensure their functionality, the release said. Customers will be able to purchase washers and dryers, ranges, refrigerators, dishwashers, microwaves and other appliances. "We are overjoyed to start this new venture with Ralph's Scratch, Dent & Delight," said Ralph Smothers, the founder and co-owner of the store. "Our family has been in the appliance business for over 73 years, and we are dedicated to helping everyone in the community by passing on the savings to our customers.
