Promoting nutrition

Tiffin's nutrition center and 24-hour gym, Bodyworks Fitness, has been contributing to the community for the past 20 years by encouraging individuals of all ages and fitness levels to live a healthy lifestyle. Bodyworks Fitness, 1560 W. Market St., Tiffin, has various programs within the building that can be utilized by members of the community who have acquired a membership. According to the fitness facility website, the gym and wellness center aims to promote an inclusive space to empower individuals through health and fitness. The business, owned by Nick and Shayna Fabrizio, includes numerous services and programs including a two-story fitness center, one-on-one training, muscle and strength-building courses, and physical, occupational and speech therapy programs. The business also offers a nutrition club called Active Nutrition and is managed by Sarah Scheiber, an Herbalife nutrition distributor and administrative assistant for the business. Scheiber has been involved with the nutrition club at the gym for five years and has an educational background in athletic training and massage therapy. She is a graduate of the University of Charleston, where she was also a student-athlete on their tennis team. "I've always been active and into nutrition ever since I was in junior high, it was always something that interested me," she said. Active Nutrition provides several services including Herbalife products for individuals to utilize before or after working out or going to therapy. Additionally, the nutrition club offers wellness and nutritional guidance. "We guide people and basically talk them through a typical day (and see) where they're lacking (and) where we feel like the products could help them," Scheiber said. "Whether they need more protein, if they're having too much sugar, not eating enough, want to gain muscle or lose weight, kind of all those things—and we help give them healthy alternatives to what they're doing. "We're here to help them weigh in, we're here to do measurements, talk them through what's going good, what's going bad, and we're also moral support for them," she added. "We're coaches, we're not just pushing products." Scheiber noted the gym and fitness center are always working to connect with the community and provide a space where people can feel comfortable while taking care of their nutritional needs. "We have a lot of people say that they're very comfortable here," she said. "We have some people who are ninety years old to youth training for athletics."
