TU announces partnership

TIFFIN -- Tiffin University announced they are partnering with Edcor - an education benefit outsourcing and consulting service. The service has entered a partnership with the university as part of its Preferred Schools Network Program, according to the university. The program's goal is to create beneficial relationships for Edcor, its aligned schools and patrons of the company. "We were approached by a prospective student who already worked for a member company of Edcor; the student was interested in attending Tiffin University," said Ali Havrilla, director for Online Enrollment Management for TU. "From there, we made contact with the Edcor representatives to begin the conversation regarding a potential partnership with Tiffin University." "We are excited to be a part of the Edcor platform," said TU President, Lillian Schumacher, in a release provided by the university. "Edcor will help us reach out and provide educational opportunities to many companies and organizations that we would not otherwise have access to." The chosen institutions are designated as preferred provider schools and are given unique consideration as Edcor seeks to match clientele with continuing education opportunities, according to information provided by the university. The institutions are selected on accreditation, mode of course delivery, location, degree offerings, the institutions' standing in the academic community and discounts available to students, among other things. Preferred providers enjoy the following benefits: Being promoted by Edcor to its valued clients Features on Edcor's TAP website and the websites, marketing materials press releases and articles of its clients Enrollment spikes due to increased exposure Higher degree completion and payment capture rates Free-of-charge participation in Edcor's Network Program Personal protection guarantees Free access to Edcor's School Support Hotline Opportunities to partner directly with specific clients The chance to provide direct-to-client webinars and articles A personalized micro-site, displayed on Edcor's TAP web pages Students who are employed with Edcor companies are eligible for a tuition discount, Havrilla said. The amount varies depending on what degree the student is pursuing. $150 off per credit hour for online undergraduate degree programs $250 off per credit hour for graduate degree programs $150 off per credit hour for our PhD program "Students and institutions must be partnered with Edcor in order to use their services," she said. "Edcor offers comprehensive education benefit outsourcing and consulting services, including tuition assistance and employer reimbursement. Edcor helps to facilitate the relationship between employers and their school of study. According to Havrilla, current students can go through Edcor for assistance as long as they are employed by a corporation that is already partnered with Edcor. Students will need to engage with their human resources department to start the process or to inquire.
