JUNIOR HIGH FOOTBALL: Mohawk took down Seneca East 28-6 as Bryce Rathburn blocked a punt and recovered a fumble to begin the game. Rhett Leeth ran for two touchdowns from 5 and 2 yards out, Brock Mills threw a two-point conversion to Levi Tiell and he ran for another. Mills also ran for a TD. The Warriors picked off four passes as Donte Arbogast and Tiell each had one, while Mills had two. Zikki Magallanes capped the scoring with a 61-yard TD run.* Hopewell-Loudon routed Sandusky St. Mary 50-0. Sam Humphrey ran for a touchdown and threw a TD pass to Dexter Stacey for H-L. Tayven Talley ran for two scores and Colin Link ran for another one. Talley also picked off a pass for a TD, while Dexter and Seth Hoover also had interceptions. VOLLEYBALL: Woodmore edged New Riegel 22-25, 25-21, 15-25, 25-18, 15-12 Tuesday. For NR, Katie Dryfuse collected 10 kills, nine aces, 27 digs and a pair of blocks, while Ashlyn Bouillon added 26 assists, 18 digs and two blocks, Olivia Schalk tallied 15 kills, three blocks and eight digs, Maddie Faeth made 11 digs and Tori Tiell finished with 22 digs. JUNIOR HIGH VOLLEYBALL: Old Fort's eighth grade topped Woodmore 25-20, 25-19 as Ava Eilrich had 16 assists, eight digs, four kills and an ace for OF. It also got 12 digs, six kills, four assists and three aces from Marah Miller and five kills, three aces and two digs from Bella Abdoo.* Old Fort's seventh grade also beat Woodmore 25-16, 25-23. For OF, Ally Quaintance collected nine aces, four kills, nine assists and four digs, Stevie Baker chipped in nine kills and Baylee Walker finished with two aces and four kills. GOLF: The Wednesday Senior League at Clinton Heights was a six-way tie at 3 under. Prize holes went to Gary Hohman (closest in one), Gary Espejo (in two) and Gary Lescallett (long putt). League will start play at 10 a.m. Oct. 4 with sign-in at 9:30 a.m.
