West is for Best I write to publicly endorse and to ask for your support for Rhonda L. Best as Judge of the Tiffin-Fostoria Municipal Court. Character and conduct are important elements of any candidate seeking public office; particularly when that office is as a judge. Judicial conduct demands that one uphold and promote the independence, integrity, and impartiality of the judiciary, and avoid impropriety or the appearance of impropriety. The office demands a particular demeanor and temperament necessary in maintaining the integrity of the judiciary and to ensure the just rule of law. I have had the opportunity to interact with both candidates for this position. Only one candidate demonstrates the character and conduct required for the office. Only one candidate appreciates the importance of building necessary relationships with the people and other public officials. Only one candidate has demonstrated the ability to perform the duties of judicial office impartially, competently, and diligently.
